Overview
Online Protractor Free is a 100% client-side free online protractor. Everything you do — uploading a protractor image, pasting with Ctrl+V, or using the online protractor camera — happens in your browser. Your images never leave your device and are discarded when you close the tab. No account, no tracking — just measure and go.
What we collect (and don't)
- No personal data: No name, email, or account required.
- No saved measurements: Angles, zoom, and rotation live only in temporary memory.
- One preference only: We store your dark-mode choice in
localStorageon your device — nothing else. - Optional anonymized analytics: If enabled, we use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (e.g., Plausible) only to see which features are used — never linked to you.
How we handle images & camera
Upload, paste, or capture — all processing uses HTML5 Canvas & JavaScript locally in your browser. We never upload, store, or transmit your photos or blueprints to any server. Camera and clipboard access require your explicit permission (you can revoke it anytime in browser settings). Denying it doesn’t break the core protractor — you can still drag the arm and use the file picker. All traffic is protected by HTTPS/TLS, and retention is zero after you close the tab.
Cookies & third parties
We set no advertising or tracking cookies. The only storage is localStorage for your theme. For functionality we load Geist via Google Fonts (Google may log IP per its policy) and serve the site as static files via a CDN (anonymized logs retained ≤30 days). No ad networks at launch.
Your rights & children
We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. Under GDPR/CCPA you may have rights to access or delete data — but since we store nothing server-side, there’s typically nothing to provide. For any privacy request, contact us — we reply within 30 days.
Changes & contact
